Re : Northcote College School Ball - The Rendevous Hotel - 12 June 2010
The 2010 Northcote College School ball is scheduled for Saturday 12 June. We want to ensure that the ball is enjoyable for all so it is important that students, parents and caregivers are aware of the arrangements and the standards of behaviour required. The ball is a formal school occasion and as such school rules and expectations apply. The school’s responsibility for students begins when they arrive at school prior to the ball. Any student who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or other drugs will be sent home immediately. A parent/caregiver will be called to collect them. Students are responsible for the behaviour of their partners and the school rules apply to partners, regardless of age. The school requires names and contact details of all outside partners. No-one will be allowed to leave before midnight. All students and partners attending the ball will need to arrive at school by 7.00pm. The students and partners will all travel by bus to the ball and will remain at the venue until (midnight). The ball will conclude at midnight at which time the school’s responsibility ends. Buses are provided for those who wish to return to Northcote College immediately after the ball. Parents/caregivers may collect students from the venue (The Rendezvous Hotel – bus entrance, corner of Mayoral Drive and Vincent Street) at midnight or Northcote College at 12.15am. Alternatively students make their own transport arrangements home. We would also like to mention the issue of ‘After Ball’ functions. We cannot say strongly enough that such parties are not organised, condoned or encouraged by the school. Parents who give their sons or daughters permission to attend such events need to be sure that they are personally satisfied by arrangements for transport, security and personal safety. Thank you for your co-operation. We look forward to a pleasant evening on 12 June 2010. |
