The Staff and Students of Northcote College thank the Birkenhead Licensing Trust and the Lion Foundation for their grant of $27,400.00 received in February 2010 to install data projectors into classrooms.

Staff and students have commented on how teaching and learning is enhanced.

Comments include:
"the data projector is indispensible"
"we watch relevant videos and clips off the internet and don't have to crowd around a TV screen"
"In science they are used to demonstrate animations like showing the atomic structure or flow of electrons"
"We're no longer reliant on one dimension. I can jump between a power point, website, YouTube and wiki pages."
"we watched a live feed of celebrations in Japan during our Japanese language class."
