
Julian Debruyne (Year 13 2011) is in the NZ U19 Mens Team competing in the Underwater Hockey World Championships in Eger, Hungary. The team has beaten Australia 13-2 in the final Round Robin game and are at the top of the table qualifying automatically for the semi-finals.

On the way to Europe, the team had 2 days training at the sport academy in Singapore with a fledgling team there.
During the tournament so far, Julian has been on a roll; scoring 4 of the goals against the Netherlands and the first 2 goals against the stronger Great Britain and another against Australia in the last game.
