Key Details and Dates for Term 4

Kia ora koutou

We are proud of our cultural diversity at Northcote College, and we enjoyed celebrating Tonga Language Week, then Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, and it is Chinese Language Week this week.

Senior academic results in Parent Portal
Results in the Parent Portal are up to date, including those from the recent formative and summative assessments last week, and it is recommended that you regularly check where your child is with their progress towards their NCEA. Deans will be tracking the progress closely and supporting students to achieve their academic goals.

Parent survey
Thank you for your feedback in the parent survey shared earlier this term. We appreciate the responses, and they will inform our future planning and decision making.

CCTV policy and trial
We will be trialling CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) cameras from next term. A policy has been approved by the Board of Trustees in advance of this trial and is available on our school website. The policy aims to enhance the safety and security of students, staff, visitors and property while respecting the privacy and rights of individuals within the school community.

Term 4 planning
To help you with forward planning, we want to highlight important events and key dates in Term 4. There are several changes to the year planner for junior students and whānau. Information and details about the CAAs (Common Assessment Activities) for the Literacy and Numeracy Co-requisite for NCEA will be sent to Year 10 students and whānau early next term.
