Te Wiki O Te Reo Maori

Kia ora – kua tau mai te wiki o te reo Māori!
Hi everyone – it’s Māori Language Week!

This is a great opportunity to give it a go, ākina te reo Māori. It can be as simple as a cheerful ‘kia ora’ to your whānau at home, or to a classmate or teacher online. You could listen to one of the awesome songs on the Waiata Anthems album - Kia Mau Ki Tō Ūkaipō / Don't Forget Your Roots - YouTube. Or you could try learning a new phrase.

Ngā rerenga kōrero o te rā – Phrase of the day

Every day this week we’ll feature a selection of te reo Māori phrases – with an easy-to-follow video.
The whāinga (goal) for the week is to use as many as you can in your day.
"E ora ai te reo, kōrerohia." (For the language to live, speak it.)

Karawhiua, e hoa mā!
Give it heaps!
