Strike action: Wednesday 5 November 1.15pm - 3.15pm
As signalled last week, The Post Primary Teachers’ Association (PPTA) has now given formal notification of strike action on the afternoon of Wednesday 5 November from 1.15pm to 3.15pm.

  • Students in Years 9 and 10 will be asked to go home after period 3 at lunchtime, 12.45pm. Junior students are encouraged to use this time at home to revise ahead of Junior Assessment Week next week.
  • NZQA examinations for seniors will not be affected and will run as according to the timetable.

Teacher only day: Friday 7 November
As per the year planner, there is a Ministry of Education Teacher Only Day on Friday. Staff will be involved in curriculum and assessment change planning for 2026. Junior students are encouraged to use this time at home to revise ahead of Junior Assessment Week next week.

Junior Assessment Week: 10-14 November
The schedule for these junior assessments will be emailed to students and posted on our school website. Class teachers will communicate what is being assessed and how students can best prepare for success.

Fame JR Junior Musical: Thursday 6 - Saturday 8 November
We are excited for our inaugural Junior Musical Theatre production of Fame JR which will be staged in the Black Box Theatre this week. Tickets are available through MyKindo.

Roadworks on Onewa Road: 13 November 2025 – 27 November
There will be significant work on the stormwater system, roadside drains and some of the footpath on Onewa Road, between Birkenhead Ave intersection and Kauri Glen Road. This 2-week upgrade will take place with 24/7 partial lane closures on Onewa Road to deliver these improvements as quickly as possible. For more details about the project, see: https://haveyoursay.at.govt.nz/onewa-road-renewal
Please plan ahead for getting to school on time, particularly seniors with NZQA examinations.
