To Get a Student Concession
The students need to have in place the following:
- Current student ID.
- A Hop card that is already registered in their name (they can register it online or at any AT Service Centre).
There is an AT Service Centre at Smales Farm, Constellation, Oteha Valley and Britomart.
They have to physically go to the Service Centre with the two cards. It will then take 24/48 hours to load the concession onto the AT Hop card.
Child Fare: Students 15 and younger
Up until the age of 16 students are classed as a child and will not require a student ID to get the concession – it will load in 24/48 hours after registering the card for a ‘child’. The concession will be generated based on the date of birth.
Student Fare: Students 16 and older
From the date of their 16th birthday they will be classed as a ‘student’, will need to have their Student ID and to physically go to an AT Service Centre.
