ACCOLADES AT RINGA TOI 🎨✨

We are beyond proud of Waihuia Thein, Joelle Young, Niwa Hall, and Reign Makalio-Nicol Ali, whose incredible artwork was selected for the prestigious Ringa Toi exhibition in Wellington.Having one student selected is an honour — so having four exhibiting together is truly exceptional.

Huge congratulations to our major award winners:

Waihuia Thein – Winner, Toi Wharepora (Contemporary & Traditional Weaving) for her piece ‘Te Marae o Hinekirikiri’.
Joelle Young – Highly Commended, Toi Matihiko (Digital Art & Print) for her digital work ‘Ake, ake, ake!’.

The calibre of work across the entire exhibition was incredible – showing the depth of creative talent from across secondary schools around Aotearoa New Zealand. Seeing our rangatahi shine on the national stage is inspiring.

While in Wellington, the group squeezed in a trip to Te Papa Museum before heading out to the workshops, exhibition and awards ceremony Porirua.
