Amazing volunteer award for Christina

Colour us super-impressed! Christina Sieberhagen has been awarded an Student Volunteer Army (SVA) Gold  Service Award for a stunning 500 hours of volunteer service.

Principal Vicki Barrie presented Christina with her well-deserved SVA pin today.

Christina’s outstanding volunteer service included volunteering her time to teach younger students at her Taekwondo Dojang, being an Auckland organiser and media representative for the School Strike 4 Climate, and volunteering for Hospice, Ronald McDonald House and Down Syndrome Association, and participating in school leadership roles and clubs.

‘I volunteer because I find it extremely gratifying to see the positive impact that I can make on other peoples' lives,’ Christina says.

‘I find that it is supremely important that I use my privilege, for example as a community leader through being a Head Student, to give back to the people and community who have helped me get to where I am today.’
