Hartley Cup stays in netball trophy cabinet!
Congratulations to our netballers for their 22-11 win over Birkenhead College – to retain the Hartley Cup for another year.
The Cup has been a hotly-contested annual event between Northcote College and Birkenhead College since 1991, when it was donated by the then North Shore City mayor Ann Hartley.
The game – played at the AUT Akoranga gym – was a thriller, and a small but enthusiastic crowd cheered their teams on.
Each team gave it their all and played well – but when the final whistle blew Northcote were the victors with a score of 22-11.
