Northcote College head and deputy head students 2020

Head students announced

Four outstanding students have been announced as Northcote College’s head students and deputy head students for 2020.

Huge applause and excitement greeted the announcements at today’s Senior Assembly, where Tom Escott and Abby Dromgool were named head students, with Taylor Malmo and Isobelle Masters as deputy head students.

‘We’re thrilled to have such high calibre young people in these roles,’ says Principal Vicki Barrie. ‘I’m looking forward to working with them over the coming year. They have been selected for their commitment and loyalty to the school – and are already positive and strong role models.

‘They follow in the footsteps of some outstanding former head students, and we look forward to them making their own personal mark on the role,’ she says.

‘I know they recognise that it is both a privilege and a responsibility to hold these roles within the school. All four are quality young people who will bring their personal strengths and new ideas to the role.

‘They have a great opportunity to contribute to the school and their fellow students in reflecting the school motto Ut Prosim Aliis (to be of service to others).

It was also wonderful to welcome 2019’s head students Jack Lawton and Ruby Macomber, and deputy head students George Brown and Ruby Brown back to the college today to announce their successors.
