Stellar year for footballer Ricco Howarth
Ricco Howarth has had an absolutely stellar year in football.
He’s one of a select group of young footballers who have been scouted to the new Auckland FC’s Talent Development Centre, and has been training with them throughout the year at their base at North Harbour Stadium.
A highlight of his year was a double-header against Wellington Phoenix Academy U17s, where Ricco came off the bench at centre left back in the first game, and was in the starting lineup in the second game.
Ricco also captained the Northcote College 1st XI football team, competed in the New Zealand U17 and U19 Youth Football tournaments, and plays club football with Birkenhead United.
He excels in other sports too: he is captain of the Northcote College 1st XI Cricket team, and is our Senior Boys Cross Country Champion.
