Our talented poets took the stage at the WORD The Front Line Regional Heat, and the results from Action Education are officially in.

We are incredibly proud to announce that both of our teams are moving on to the next stages of the competition! It’s poetry to our ears 😊

Northcote A – Heading to the Semi-Finals!

Northcote Juniors – Heading to He Reo Rangatahi!
Our junior wordsmiths put on a stellar performance and have been invited to move onto the He Reo Rangatahi stage: Isobel Frires (9MCI), Amelia Kapitan (9MCI), Zahra Hassan Haji (10MRO), Casey Ha (9MEI)

WORD - The Front Line is an inter-high school spoken word poetry competition, bringing together teams of young people from across Auckland to share their stories in an explosion of youth expression. It is a poetry slam with the purpose of engaging and growing the potential of our future leaders. It is the only creative battlefield of its kind, equipping young people with poetry prowess and leadership principles for an opportunity to battle for themselves and the challenges that their generation faces.
